Ballysaggartmore Towers
📍 County Waterford, Ireland
About
Ballysaggartmore Towers are two ornate entrance lodges that are situated on the former Ballysaggartmore Demesne approx 2.5 kilometres from the town of Lismore in County Waterford, Ireland. The structures are considered architectural "follies".
The Ballysaggartmore Towers near Lismore, County Waterford, are spectacular Gothic Revival gate lodges built around 1834 by Arthur Kiely-Usher. He spent so lavishly on these ornamental entrance lodges that he ran out of money before building the grand house they were meant to announce. The extravagant follies are now set in a public forest park.
