A motte-and-bailey fortress near Llangoed on the Isle of Anglesey, built 1080-1099 by Hugh d'Avranches, 1st Earl of Chester. Sited on a steep hill about two miles from Beaumaris Castle. Currently undergoing restoration. In use from the late 11th century to the mid-17th century.
