First recorded 1242, ruined by 1336, rebuilt in the late 14th century. May have been the home of Catherine Parr. Part of the southern range was converted to a farmhouse with the medieval great chamber becoming a courtroom. Grade I listed. Now a wedding venue; the ancient Danby Court Leet still meets here.
