Leslie Castle

📍 Aberdeenshire, Scotland

About

Leslie Castle is a castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, the historical seat of Clan Leslie, located just to the west of Auchleven, or about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of Aberdeen.

Built in 1661 by William Forbes, replacing an earlier castle of the Leslie family which dated from the 12th century. A fine example of a Scottish baronial tower house with turrets and crow-stepped gables. Fell into ruin and was rescued by David Leslie, who painstakingly restored it. Now available as a holiday let and events venue.
