About

Llandaff Cathedral is a Church in Wales cathedral and parish church in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales. It is the seat of the Bishop of Llandaff, head of the Church in Wales Diocese of Llandaff. It is dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul, and three Welsh saints: Dubricius, Teilo and Oudoceus. It is one of two cathedrals in Cardiff, the other being the Roman Catholic Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral in the city centre.

Stands on one of the oldest Christian sites in Britain, founded in the 6th century by St Dyfrig, succeeded by St Teilo and St Euddogwy. The current building dates from c.1120, with restorations after severe damage from a German parachute mine in January 1941 during the Cardiff Blitz. Features Jacob Epstein's striking aluminium sculpture 'Christ in Majesty'.
