Balfluig Castle is an L-plan tower house, dating from the mid-16th century, a mile south of Alford, in the Howe of Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The tower is conspicuous throughout the Howe. It may be viewed by appointment.
Built in 1556 by the Forbes family, a classic rectangular tower house with turrets and corbelling. Fell into disrepair but was restored in the 20th century by the architect W. Douglas Simpson. Features include a vaulted ground floor, original gun loops, and a fine parapet. Set near the village of Alford in the scenic Howe of Alford. Private residence.
