About

Din Lligwy hut circle is an ancient village site near the east coast of Anglesey, close to the village of Moelfre, North Wales.

A Romano-British enclosed settlement in eastern Anglesey, occupied during the 3rd-4th centuries AD. The site contains two rectangular and several circular stone buildings within a pentagonal enclosure wall up to 1.5 metres thick. One rectangular building may have been the house of a local chief. The quality of construction and finds of coins and pottery suggest relative prosperity. Managed by Cadw and freely accessible.
