Gilling Castle is a Grade I listed country house near Gilling East, North Yorkshire, England.
Originally a Norman keep, rebuilt and expanded over the centuries. The Fairfax family held it from the 14th century and created the spectacular Elizabethan Great Chamber in the 1570s-80s. The Great Chamber features heraldic glass, painted wainscoting, and an ornate plaster ceiling. Now part of Ampleforth College as a preparatory school. The Great Chamber was removed to the Bowes Museum and Randolph Hearst's collection before being returned.
