Longthorpe Tower is a 14th-century three-storey tower in the Longthorpe area of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England. It is famous for its well-preserved set of medieval murals.
Built c.1300 by Robert Thorpe as a solar tower addition to an existing hall house. Around 1330, the first-floor chamber was covered with an extraordinary cycle of wall paintings—among the finest and most complete examples of medieval domestic art in northern Europe. Subjects include the Wheel of the Five Senses, the Labours of the Months, and the Three Living and the Three Dead. Managed by English Heritage.
