Moreton Corbet Castle is a ruined medieval castle and Elizabethan era manor house, located near the village of Moreton Corbet, Shropshire, England. It is a Grade I listed building and English Heritage property. Although out of use since the 18th century, it remains the property of the Corbet family. It can be visited free of charge during daylight hours.
The site was occupied by Anglo-Saxon thegns in 1086. By the early 13th century the Corbet family had built their stronghold. In the Elizabethan era, an ambitious Renaissance-style manor wing was added but never completed. Damaged during the English Civil War. Out of use since the 18th century but still Corbet family property. Free to visit, managed by English Heritage.
