About

Turton Tower is a manor house in Chapeltown in North Turton, Borough of Blackburn with Darwen, Lancashire, England. It is a scheduled ancient monument and a Grade I listed building.

The core is a 15th-century pele tower, extended with Tudor wings in the 16th century. In the 19th century, the Ashworth-Kay family added Victorian Gothic embellishments, creating the picturesque half-timbered appearance seen today. The house museum displays period rooms from various eras. Set in woodland gardens with a tearoom. Managed by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
