About

Dufftown Clock Tower is a stone tower with a clock at the crossroads in the centre of Dufftown, Moray, at the focal point of the town square. It became a Class B listed building in 1972.

Built in 1839 by the Earl of Fife as the town's main civic building, originally housing the burgh jail. The tower stands at the junction of four streets in the centre of Dufftown, which is home to several major Speyside distilleries including Glenfiddich. The clock was added later. Now serves as a visitor information point and local heritage centre.
